Nordweg products are made with full-grain leather, durable hardware, and careful craftsmanship. If something fails because of a manufacturing defect, we’ll make it right.

Warranty coverage

Nordweg backpacks, briefcases, messenger bags, weekenders, and travel bags are covered by a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase.

Wallets and accessories are covered by a 180-day warranty from the date of purchase.

This warranty applies to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.

What we cover

Our warranty covers defects that should not happen with normal use, including issues with stitching, hardware, zippers, linings, straps, handles, or other components.

If your product qualifies for warranty service, Nordweg will repair it at no cost. If repair is not possible, we may replace it with the same or a comparable product, depending on availability and the nature of the issue.

How to request warranty service

You do not need to register your product after purchase. Your warranty is valid from the date of purchase.

If you believe your product has a manufacturing defect, contact us first with your order number or proof of purchase, a short description of the issue, and photos of the product.

Please wait for our instructions before sending any product in for warranty service. We’ll review the issue first and guide you through the next steps.

What is not covered

This warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, neglect, improper cleaning, overloading, cuts, scratches, stains, burns, water damage, constant humidity, excessive friction, unauthorized repairs or modifications, or normal wear and tear.

Leather is a natural material. Small variations in texture, grain, and color are expected. With use, leather may soften, darken, develop marks, or change in appearance. These changes are part of the natural character of leather and are not considered defects.

Shipping for warranty service

While repairs of products within the warranty will always be free of charge, the cost of sending the product to the factory will be your responsibility.

Support beyond the warranty

Even if your product is outside the warranty period, we still want to help whenever we can. Contact us with photos and a short description of the issue, and we’ll review the product to see whether a repair is possible.

If the product is repairable but no longer covered under warranty, we’ll provide a quote before doing any paid work. We’ll never move forward with an out-of-warranty repair without your approval.
