All Nordweg backpacks, messenger bags and travel bags come with a 2-Year Warranty. That means they are covered by the warranty for two years from the date of purchase. This type of warranty is offered because we firmly believe in the quality and durability of our products.
How does the 2-Year Warranty work?
Nordweg is committed to repairing any manufacturing defects that may arise with regular use of the products covered by the 2-Year Warranty, within the specified time frame.
In the event of a defect in the purchased product, Nordweg will repair or, when not possible, replace the covered product with an identical or equivalent one, at no cost, according to its evaluation, criteria, and availability of the original product's reference and materials.
Conditions for warranty coverage
The Warranty excludes accidents of any nature, issues resulting from misuse by the user, such as stains caused by dirt or chemicals, or any product that may damage, scratches from sharp objects or pens, cuts, tears, overloading of weight/volume, burns, or damage caused by water and constant humidity, constant friction against other surfaces, and poor maintenance. Dirt, stains, and the natural wear of materials, such as changes in color and texture with prolonged use, are not covered by the warranty.
Unauthorized modifications, disassemblies, or repairs by Nordweg will invalidate the warranty. The product should be cleaned with a slightly damp and soft cloth, without using bleach or other chemicals, without soaking, and should not be machine washed. It should be dried in the shade to avoid stains caused by the sun.
Our leathers are treated to maintain the natural look of the skin and enhance its softness and resistance. The charm of any leather product is revealed when its softness, color, and natural appearance become more pronounced over time.
As a natural material of animal origin, all leather will show small variations in texture and color. Similarly, it tends to become softer with use, which may alter the product's structure over time. These changes are characteristics of the material and are not considered defects. For hygiene and health preservation reasons, Nordweg reserves the right not to handle products that are not in an acceptable standard of cleanliness and conservation, which may be considered misuse and invalidate the warranty. The 2-Year Warranty is limited to Nordweg backpacks, messenger bags and travel bags. Wallets, belts, and products in the Accessories category on the website have a 180 days warranty.
Acessories Warranty
The 2-Year Warranty is limited to Nordweg backpacks, messenger bags and travel bags. For wallets and other products classified in the "Accessories" category on the website, Nordweg grants a 180 days of Contractual Warranty to its product. This warranty also covers all defects and flaws in your product, provided it has been used according to the usage recommendations. In both cases, it is necessary to present the purchase invoice of the product to prove that it is within the warranty period.
Shipping Costs
While repairs of products within the warranty will always be free of charge, the cost of sending the product to the factory will be your responsibility.
How to activate the warranty
All products leave the factory with a valid warranty. You only need to activate your warranty when your product needs maintenance. In other words, it is not necessary to register at the time of purchase for the guarantee to be valid.
All products with any damage must be sent to the factory, which has a period of 15 days useful for carrying out the repair and sending them back after receiving them. The shipping time to and from the factory is not taken into account in this period.
